Due to high winds, a gazebo broke off from a garden and got stuck at a very high altitude between the roofs of two houses.
The whole incident took place near Rewley Road on July 16, 2023. The owners didn’t allow anyone to get near the gazebo, as the tiles of the roof were collapsing. People there instantly called the fire station, and they took care of the scenario.
“The owners did the right thing by moving everyone away from the structure and awaiting the arrival of the Fire Service.”, said a fire and rescue spokesperson.

The staff of the rescue team used electric saws to disassemble the gazebo safely and also removed any unconsolidated tiles, so that it may not be hazardous if anyone passes by.
Furthermore, the staff addressed the people to keep their gazebo safe and windproof to obliterate any such incidents.
Besides gazebos, they also notified about parasols and trampolines as well. In this way, the situation was saved, and no one was injured during the incident.
